"SHORT SEA TRAVEL EXPERIENCE" by PROJECT CONNECT

Another first-time initiative by PROJECT CONNECT proudly took place this September, offering a unique opportunity to an EPAL Nautical Vocational High School student to live the reality of life at sea.

Thanks to the generous support of our Chairman Nicholas Tsalamanios and his company SEAVEN Group, one lucky winner had the chance of a lifetime, to embark on a short voyage and experience firsthand what it’s really like to work on board a modern seagoing vessel.

📚 The winner, Eleftheria Dame from the 4th EPAL Piraeus, earned this experience through her inspiring essay, where she expressed her dream of becoming a maritime professional and highlighted the exciting career opportunities the shipping industry offers.

🚢 From 4-8 September 2025, Eleftheria joined the cement carrier M/V Seaven Star, under the command of CPT. Sarantis Skouras, gaining invaluable insight into the responsibilities, challenges, and teamwork that define life at sea.

This pioneering program bridges education and real-world experience, inspiring the next generation of captains and engineers to pursue their maritime dreams.
